You who washed dusty feet and folded burial cloths, Be with me in every small task today. Let my scrubbing be prayer. Let my tidying be care. Let this be an act of welcome— for others, for myself, for you. Turn my irritation into rhythm. Turn my sighing into grace. Make this place ready not just for visitors, but for peace. Amen.

This is lovely! Years ago when I dedicated my home as a hermitage of my community I discovered that 'housework', which I never liked, had become 'care of the hermitage', a sacred trust. Just happened spontaneously. A nice little blessing.
